Ty earned his Honours BSc with high distinction and an MSc in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto, conducting research on aging's effects on sensory systems and balance, later published in Physical Therapy journal. He furthered his expertise with a Clinical Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, specializing in musculoskeletal disorders management.
Ty has been educating physiotherapists since 2013 and serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia. His holistic, evidence-based physiotherapy integrates trigger point dry needling, manual therapy, corrective exercises, and self-management, and he offers Vestibular rehabilitation for dizziness and balance issues.
